Aeromedical Field Tester
One of the profiles that has stood out to me the most is Alton Yates. The reason I choose Alton Yates was because he had to get money somehow to provide for his family and he ended up developing a passion for Aermedical Field Testing. He is the second of seven children and mother whos passed when he was younger. His father is an employee at the Naval Air Station Jacksonville. Altons father couldn't possibly take care of his seven children by himself. So Alton had finished school so he can get a job and support the rest of the family. Alton wasn't going to go to school so he decided to join the Air Force. Alton had worked for Colonel John Paul Stapp. When he joined the Air Force he was assigned to the Aeromedical Field tester. There is this thing called the "Daisy Track". The daisy track consists of an air gun, a water brake, four sleds and a structure to house the air gun. Its used to study the effects of acceleration, deceleration and the impact on the human body.

One quote I took from the reading was "I can see in my minds eye now. When I heard the countdown, a warm feeling came over my body. I could see myself there with them all the way. We had accomplished the objective: to safely put a man into space. Even to this day, every time there was liftoff I think a little piece of me lifts off with each one of those missions"(Alton). I liked this because it shows the passion that he has for the job he once enjoyed so much.

Im majoring in Criminology. I hope to have a job in behavioral analysis and work for the FBI. I want my job to always be exciting and never have a dull day. I hope my job can support me always and never have problems.
I empathize with wanting every day to be exciting and something you can look forward to doing. I think its without a doubt the most important thing for me when looking for a job
ReplyDeleteI agree with when you said about never wanting to have a dull day at work. Before I decided to go into nursing I also wanted to do something like this stuff like that has always interested me.
ReplyDeleteI'm majoring in criminology to but I still don't really know what way I want to go with it yet. But I'm right there with you i would hope it never gets boring.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree you don't want a job that's boring, that you regret having to go to when you wake up .
