Journal Seven-Britt
The profile that stood out to me was the Forensic artist. Sharon Long didn't have any intentions on going back to school, she thought she was too old and that time has passed. She was encouraged that she wasn't too old and gave it a shot. She said "So I took physical anthropology and bang! I decided what I wanted to be when I grew up." That blew my mind. She was already 40 and she just found out what she was going to do for her career. In the end she ends up doing something she loves. She went from working multiple jobs she did not like to having one job that she loves. It made me realize that it's almost never to late to try something new. It could be the best thing and create the best change in your life.
What I want out of my future career is to actually enjoy what i'm doing because if I don't then i'll feel like I've done it all wrong. Another thing I want is to be successful in my career.

I agree entirely about enjoying what you do. If you aren't working towards something you will enjoy then what's the point?
ReplyDeleteI think what stood out to me the most in this profile is when she talked about how she didn't even figure out what she wanted to be until she was 40 years old getting her daughter into college
