The Hobart Shakespearians- Allison Barr

The Hobart Shakespearians

1. This documentary was extremely fascinating to watch. I was astonished at how much information the kids were able to share.  I think that the lessons and objectives Rafe teachers are important, he is teaching them more than to just be “smart” he is teaching them to be good people. Rafe is a role model for each of the students in his class, we know Rafe recognizes this when he says “gotta be the person you want the kids to be”. Rafe’s goal is to teach the kids to be kind and work hard, he teaches them that there is no shortcuts and that you have to workhard to be successful in life. While I was in 6-12 grade I was apart of KUEST; kids under excellence serving training, so when Rafe said in his classroom it is a culture of excellence that stood out to be because that was something I’ve been taught. I think the major theme in this documentary is that you can accomplish any goal you have as long as you are willing to put in the work. Also believe this film shows us the impact you make when you are encouraging and supportive.

2. A goal I have for not only this year but next year as well is to make deans list, I know to do this I will have to sacrifice social events and make school a priority.
