My Trip

The called Puri, which is in India state of Orissa. This place a one of holy place where most Hindu people from east visit this place once a year. This place is beautiful and first I went there when I was a kid, so didn’t know much. I went there again when I was in 5th grade in Indian. This time when I went there, I saw all kind of things. For example, I saw the rich, middle class, and poor people. But I was not used to seeing poor people begging for money in middle and on both sides of the road. Where cars were honking for no reason even though they know they cannot move their vehicle. The weather was hot, so I was able to smell the dust. In the middle of this, I was seating with my family in a vehicle and watching all this. I also, I saw an old man begging. At that time, I didn’t know what was going on in my mind but that created a picture in my head which I still remember today.  When I moved to united stated I realize that that old was alone, he has no family to take care of him and there were no social programs which would have helped him. That has changed the way I see my family and motivated me to always help people who are in need.

The one place I was to visit is the Golden Temple in India. I have heard lots of things about this and seen pictured online. This temple is built is gold and they provide food to thousands of people every day for free. I heard people saying this place is peaceful.  Not only this place I want to visit all the places where people find peace because on our world its always something going on. There is no time peace, so when I visit these places, I want to experience the peace that everyone talks about.

  1. That's a very inspiring story man. I could visualize the whole scene of your sensory details with the smell of dust and the poor begging with cars honking. The Golden Temple would be awesome to go to and I hope you get the chance to man.
