In the book of Callings, the profile that has stoke out to me the most was about a man who wanted to become a doctor. Ayodeji  Ogunniyi, age 24, moved to The United States for a better life with his family. His parents taught him to work hard in school and strive to be the best you can and hard work will pay off in the end. His parents worked many hours during the day to make sure him and his brothers had what they needed. Ayodeji tutored children with reading after school to earn extra money. He thought to himself about how his parents always told him to do something you love in life. He came to the conclusion that he didn't want to be a doctor for the rest of his life, he wanted to help kids learn. "You have to do what you love. So that's when I said, I'm going to follow my heart and become a teacher" (pg 172). Once he graduated from college, he became an English teacher to help kids learn at their best and to connect with each one of them.

This profile about Ayodeji connected to me by our passions to help kids learn. I personally love math due to my fifth grade teacher in elementary school. He connected with the children to make sure we had fun while learning; we played games, walked to Subway for lunch, and had small parties outside on nice days. He made sure everyone understood and mastered a concept before he moved on to another. He would always say, "why move on when you don't understand the step before. You can't make a peanut butter sandwich if you don't know how to open the jar first." To this day, I want to have math in my career in the future, instead of science. He had changed my life.
