Hello, my name is Carlye Mannasmith. Im 19 years old and Im from Marysville, OH. A fun fact about me is that I`ve recently traveled to Montana. I had a wonderful time. My best friend from highschool moved out there for school. She showed me so many things as soon as I got there. We went to see the Buddha gardens and adventured through the rock mountains. I captured so many beautiful pictures from the trip. I even got a tattoo on the back of the right shoulder of the Mission Mountains. Heres a photo of Isabelle and I in sealy, MT.

What ive concluded from the house on mango street is that Esperanza isnt happy within her living space. She keeps jumping from place to place. Never having a second to breath. Shes yearning to find a place to call home. Something that fits her wants. Something to call her own and be comfortable with. I feel like this is a very important lesson because I feel some of us take our living situations for granted. The one thing that we should be able to find comfort in is our home. This isnt the case for Esperanza. thankfully I dont believe ive ever had a problem with feeling not "at home". ive always had something or someone there for support.
