My name is Jacob Watson. I was born in Bellefontaine Ohio. and moved to Powell in 2013. I have two older sisters. One of which is in a band, and the other is married with 2 kids. I'm double Jointed and very flexible. I like puzzle solving and doing programing stuff.

So far in The House on Mango Street The thing I've noticed most is how Esperanza seems to have a bit of a feeling of self loathing. See seems to feel alone and like she has nobody to go to. This is evident in the way she describes her name. She describes her name as "It means sadness. it means waiting"(Cisneros 10).  She also repeats early on about how she doesn't have any friends. For example she says  "Someday Ill have a best friend all my own"(Cisneros 9). As far as we are now we have a lonely girl that most likely doesn't like herself. I'm interested to see how she progresses as a character and how she deals with these problems.
